Boston-based pop singer-songwriter Elliot Wren is a rising force in the indie-pop world, celebrated for their catchy hooks, emotional storytelling, and unapologetic authenticity. A non-binary and LGBTQ+ advocate, Elliot crafts music that resonates with themes of self-discovery, mental health, inclusion, and empowerment.

Since debuting with the breakout single "RIP My Diary", Elliot has built an impressive catalog that includes "Time Bomb", "Girl in the Flower Patch", and the recent pop-rock anthem "Queen of Hell". Their songs have landed on 200+ playlists and been featured in dozens of music publications, earning praise for both lyrical depth and memorable melodies.

Elliot’s latest project, the 10-track album Nightgown (released July 11, 2025), is a gripping journey through a long, hellish nightmare and the clawing fight toward freedom. Even when the body escapes, Nightgown explores how the mind can remain trapped—caught between survival and the lingering weight of the struggle. Deeply personal yet universally resonant, the album dives into themes of internal and external conflict, resilience, and the complicated nature of healing. All tracks were produced and mastered by "Platinum" producer Brad Young.

On Instagram, Elliot recounts that this album "represents the most personal story I have ever told", adding that “there were times I didn't know if it would ever see the light of day.

“Queen of Hell” is a dark, edgy pop-rock ballad that artfully balances grit and melody, showcasing Elliot’s unique vocal cadence and authentic lyrical voice. Rising Artists Blog praises the song for its “authentic, witty lyrics over a catchy, pop tune,” drawing listeners in with emotional depth even before they catch the hook.

Thematically, the song portrays the artist as both survivor and monarch of their own chaos—embracing the identity of “queen of hell” not as defeat, but as fiercely reclaimed agency. It explores being mentally imprisoned even when physically present.

Earlier singles like "Time Bomb" showcased a grittier alt-rock edge addressing anxiety and self-depletion, pulling inspiration from 90s indie-rock while maintaining Elliot’s honest lyricism.

Elliot Wren writes music from the heart—literally since age nine—and draws from influences like Taylor Swift, Halsey, Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Ha Vay, & EMELINE. Elliot strives to be a positive influence on the state of LGBT music and to never shy away from using their music to speak the truth. Elliot has established themselves as a respected independent artist, performing with other local artists. Their singles have received overwhelmingly positive praise from multiple publications for their raw lyrical style and expressive sound, including multi-national recognition for "Time Bomb."

From interviews, Elliot has emphasized the therapeutic and candid nature of their work: they see 'Nightgown' as both artistic expression and emotional excavation.

This release isn’t just another album—it’s a milestone in Elliot’s artistic journey and in LGBTQ+ visibility within indie‑pop. Their sheer honesty about mental health, identity, and emotional survival creates a bridge between creator and listener.

“With Nightgown and its defiant crown jewel ‘Queen of Hell,’ Elliot Wren doesn’t just tell their story—they hand you the key to the fire, showing that even in the darkest rooms, your voice can be the light that leads you out. In these songs, Elliot transforms pain into power, finding the strength to break free and embrace a new love of self and the freedom that comes with it. “The clarity of her vocals—sweet yet edged with raw emotion—cuts through every track, leaving a resonance that lingers long after the album ends.” ~Performers On The Go
