Boston-based pop singer-songwriter Caleb Cascio will be performing a two-hour set of original and cover songs this Sunday, October 9th for the annual Autism Speaks Walk in Boston Common with music ranging from Lennon to Journey to Weeknd. Recently, Caleb’s three Spotify single’s have amassed more than 85,000 streams on Spotify, with his latest single, “Roller Coaster” surpassing 29,000. His music has also been featured on more than 175 Spotify playlists. A vocalist for the Performers on the Go touring band, Caleb has performed on dozens of New England stages including the Hard Rock Café and Loretta’s Last Call. Hosted by Autism Speaks, an organization for which Caleb and his family has raised more than $100,000, this walk represents the world's largest fundraising event dedicated to supporting people with autism and their families. Funds raised will help fuel innovative research, advocacy, and critical programs and services, with the ultimate goal of creating a world where all people with autism can reach their full potential.
Since its inception in 2005, Autism Speaks has successfully advocated for autism insurance benefits covering 207 million people in all 50 states. It has championed $3.9 billion in federal funding since 2007 and invested $234 million in scientific grants to result in $1 billion in public sourced funding for autism research, support and services. The organization has also provided critical information tool kits to more than 1.5 million individuals and professionals and ensured more 535K people receive direct assistance by mail, phone and support calls. It harnesses its social media presence to share stories of individuals on the spectrum to foster empathy and compassion.
This annual event holds particular significance for Caleb, who was diagnosed with autism at a young age. Songwriting and performing have proved to be a vital means of self-expression, creativity, and communication throughout his life: “I sing and play for those kids who can’t, for those kids without a voice….God has given me the gift of music which has helped me work out of my own diagnosis, so I like to share my gift to give others hope that things will be ok.”
Boston pop artist/singer songwriter Caleb Cascio's warm hearted vocals aim to connect people and provide comfort and reassurance to friendships and those who's lives are in an unfamiliar place. Sophomore single “You’re not alone”, is a song with a universal reach across the globe, providing comfort and hope at a time when most people were living with unknowns and daily uneasiness. Caleb's songs captures the power of human emotions in a beautiful light. His love for pop music is well anchored in his music, and his raw emotion shines. He’s active member in the Autism Speaks community, performing at Xfinity Center and Fenway Park for autism events, and hosting his own fundraisers through his music performances raising over $100,000.-Performers on the Go, LLC
