"This is not just a song for me, it is a milestone. It is the acceptance of an untamable new, it is a gift for never giving in, and a reward for the relentless." ~Vanna Pacella
Vanna Pacella’s new single, “Periphery,” is not just a release, it’s a reckoning. Poised between heartbreak and healing, it captures the exact moment when pain steps out of your direct line of sight and begins to lose its power. The lyrics echo this shift:
And you’re not in my periphery…Any way you spin it,It was real, and I was in it alone.
Known for her raw vocal power and lyrical honesty, Vanna delivers a stripped-back, soul-baring performance that explores the pain of emotional detachment and the empowerment that follows.

Pacella originally shelved the song when she wrote it, knowing intuitively that the timing wasn’t right. But when the track resurfaced nearly a year later, she felt an undeniable pull to bring it to life. “As a professional over-thinker,” she wrote, “it was a new feeling to be so confident in a track that I never even got to the point of over evaluating. It was just, done. And it was perfect.”
"Periphery" is a cathartic anthem of release and realization. It's not about longing or revenge—it's about growth. It's about the quiet triumph of letting go. And as Vanna puts it, “There will come a day when you realize that the pain… no longer exists. Not even in your periphery.”
The chorus—“Any way you spin it / It was real, and I was in it alone”—is a punch to the gut, delivered with elegance and ache. There’s vulnerability, but also self-possession. It’s the kind of songwriting that pulls listeners into their own introspection. Taking the time to heal and make the shift to grow alone and with strength is brought out in this powerful lyric…
And I don’t Crave you now
I have learned your ways
enough to know
That I must unlearn your ways to grow
